We have an issue with a health problem in Beagles at the minute it is not common and can be tested for. It is called Musladin-Lueke Syndrome, sometimes it can be called Chinese Beagle Syndrome. You can find pictures and information at www.salenko.co.uk/MLS MLS has been in America for some time and there is also another website from the Aladar Beagles that shows more puppies that have been affected by the disease. This can be a problem that can be bred out of Beagles and is one of the few health issues in dogs that can be tested for. If you are looking to breed your bitch or buying a puppy my advice to you would be, when enquiring ask if they have tested for this in the sire you are wanting to use or if you are buying a puppy then the dam and sire of the puppy. I have tested my dogs but as this is something that has come up in the last month or so then please be aware that some of the results have not been sent back as yet. The ones that have are on this website under the Search button. I have Phoenix's results back now just waiting for Daxter's once I have his results back they also will be on my website so please look for them. I have to thank the lady who had the affected puppies as without her being so honest this may not of come to light and more puppies would have been affected.
